Grandma Spray
Thanks to the D.A.R. this story appears in their 1978
catalog of Cicero Township Cemeteries as told to them by Ralph Bishop:
Grandma, Delilah (Chapman) McNeil, Spray's parents were squatters. They
arrived in what was then Hamilton County, Indiana in about 1835. Within
a year they both contracted a deadly disease and were buried "on the
spot", leaving Delilah an orphan.
The "spot" was said to be (in 1975) somewhere along the lane
leading to Lawrence and Lucy Pickett's homestead (see map below
with red X). William and second wife, ? (White) Chapman were buried there. According to
Grandma Spray's obituary, her mother is buried in Hamilton, Ohio. I believe no confusion
was made between Hamilton, Ohio and Hamilton County in Delilah's obituary
as some have suggested.

Thank God for D.A.R. but I think William Chapman
and his second wife are buried here.
